Freeman was claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on Friday, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Freeman hasn't been able to piece together much during his limited times in the big leagues, but he has hit over .300 each of the past three seasons at Triple-A. He'll likely fill an organizational depth role for the Dodgers, but he could move his way back to the show if injuries strike the major-league club.
