Dodgers outfielder Scott Van Slyke (wrist) is not expected to be on the NLDS roster, Mark Saxon of ESPN Los Angeles reports.

The wrist did not respond well to batting practice Tuesday, leading manager Don Mattingly to say Van Slyke is 'not where he needs to be physically.'

With the 29-year-old all but ruled out for the NLDS, the door is open for Yasiel Puig to possibly slot in as a right-handed bench/platoon bat despite missing most of the final five weeks of the regular season.
