Panik (concussion) is reportedly "as close to 100 percent as you can imagine", CSNGiants reports.

Panik has been out of game action since June 27 dealing with concussion-like symptoms but is nearing 100 percent and could begin a rehab assignment this weekend. Giants GM Bobby Evans apparently wants Panik to get 15 plate appearances over four rehab games which, if he indeed gets on the field this weekend, puts the second baseman in line to return against the Red Sox or Yankees next week. Before landing on the 7-day concussion list, Panik was beginning to hit his stride, slashing .289/.344/.410 with 19 runs over his previous 21 games.
