Peterson has been promoted to Triple-A Tacoma, seattlepi.com reports.

The 12th overall pick in the 2013 draft, Peterson bounced back strong from a disappointing 2015 campaign, posting a .271/.340/.466 slash line in 73 games for Double-A Jackson. He played four games with Triple-A Tacoma last season but has otherwise spent most of his minor league career at High-A and Double-A. Though the Mariners likely want to keep him in Triple-A for an extended period, Peterson might still emerge as a candidate for a September call-up.
