Cosart is expected to throw off a mound Monday as he works his way back from an oblique injury that forced him to the minor league disabled list, MLB.com reports.

The right-hander lasted just 3.2 innings in his last start with Triple-A New Orleans back on June 3. He has put together a decent 3.92 ERA in the minors since being sent down in late April, but he's also compiled a sub-par 1.62 WHIP to go along with a 26:20 K:BB ratio over 39 innings pitched. Cosart had been pitching better before going down with the injury, allowing five earned runs in his last 20.2 innings pitched, but he's still got some work to do before earning another shot in the majors.
