Marlins' Jeff Mathis: Re-signs with Marlins on one-year deal

Mathis re-signed with the Marlins on Wednesday on a one-year contract.

Mathis should slot back in as the backup catcher for the Marlins, this time starting the season behind J.T. Realmuto rather than Jarrrod Saltalamacchia. While he should see some starts behind the dish, his value would only increase if his young counterpart were to suffer an injury.
