Marlins' Shawn Morimando: Remains in organization

The Marlins outrighted Morimando to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.

Predictably, Morimando -- a 28-year-old journeyman reliever with six career MLB relief appearances -- attracted no interest when the Marlins exposed him to waivers over the weekend. He'll remain on hand as bullpen depth at Jacksonville, but his lack of a 40-man roster spot will hurt his chances of earning another call-up to the majors before season's end.
