Skole was added to the Nationals' 40-man roster Friday, Dan Kolko of MASN reports.

The corner infielder bounced back in a big way during the 2016 campaign, bashing 24 home runs and 22 doubles while driving in 78 runs for Triple-A Syracuse. His path to the big leagues is currently blocked by the presence of Ryan Zimmerman and Anthony Rendon at first and third base, respectively, but Skole's power and strong propensity to take walks could help him land a spot as a left-handed power bat off the bench for Washington at some point during the season.
