Tillman (1-0) pitched 4.1 innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four in a no-decision against the Royals on Saturday.
The right-hander was wildly inefficient Saturday, dealing 105 pitches (only 61 of them for strikes) without managing to escape the fifth inning. It was a stark contrast to the five scoreless frames Tillman delivered in his previous outing, and quite disappointing considering the favorable matchup. The 29-year-old will toe the rubber for his third start of the campaign Friday at home against the Blue Jays.
