Baumann was recalled from Triple-A El Paso on Friday.
Baumann is now set to make his major league debut with the Padres calling upon his services Friday. The 28-year-old has impressed in relief for Triple-A El Paso this season, compiling a 1.06 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over 17 innings to go along with 17 strikeouts. He figures to provide bullpen relief for the Padres during his first stay in the big leagues.
