Phillies' Aaron Altherr: Could see increased playing time

Altherr could see an increase in his playing time if he takes advantage of his early opportunities, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Altherr is the Phillies' primary backup at all three outfield spots, which should give him a chance to play quite a bit early on. Manager Pete Mackanin said he is not committed to playing Howie Kendrick and Michael Saunders regularly, so if either of the veterans struggles, he could start to cede playing time to Altherr.
