The Phillies designated Paulino for assignment Saturday.
Paulino struggled Saturday in his first big-league appearance of 2021, allowing a pair of runs on three hits in two innings of relief. The righty has struggled at Triple-A as well, so he doesn't figure to be a hot commodity on waivers and may find himself back in Lehigh Valley in a couple days.
