Schwarber is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus Pittsburgh.
Schwarber will head to the bench for the first time since Aug. 9 after the Phillies punched their ticket to the playoffs with Tuesday's victory. The veteran slugger has clubbed 45 homers but is still hitting just .196 this season, though he slashed .230/.395/.566 during the run of 42 consecutive starts.
