Partch has been sent back to Triple-A Indianapolis as the Pirates have called up pitcher Wilfredo Boscan, Stephen Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Partch, who pitched in relief Sunday, failed to record an out while giving up three earned runs to the Cubs. The 29-year-old right-hander owns a career 5.64 ERA in 30.1 MLB innings, spending time with both the Reds and the Pirates. Partch will head back to Triple-A Indianapolis where he owns a 1.36 ERA on the season with 37 strikeouts in 33 innings.
