DeShields is out of the lineupfor Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
The slumping DeShields got a chance to hit at the top of the order Tuesday and he responded by going 1-for-4 with a run and a strikeout, but he will take a seat for the series finale Wednesday. Ian Desmond will slide over to take DeShields' place in center field while Ryan Rua remains in the lineup as the Rangers' left fielder.
