Rangers' Edinson Volquez: Included in roster pool

The Rangers added Volquez to their 60-man roster pool Thursday.

Volquez and Juan Nicasio both joined the 60-man pool, bringing the Rangers' total to 57 men. The veteran right-hander missed a majority of the 2019 season with an elbow injury, as he logged a 6.75 ERA and 2.00 WHIP over 16 innings. Volquez was signed as an amateur free agent by the Rangers in 2001; 19 years later he will give Texas everything he's got left in the tank, though his days are likely numbered.
