Honeywell (2-0) scattered five hits, surrendered an earned run and walked two over 5.2 innings in High-A Charlotte's 10-3 victory over St. Lucie on Thursday. He struck out five.

The Rays' 2014 second-round pick continues to steamroll opposing hitters at the High A level, now having generated a minuscule 0.89 ERA over 30.1 innings of work. His other metrics certainly check out as well, as evidenced by Honeywell's 0.79 WHIP and sparkling 31:4 K/BB ratio. With opposing hitters only mustering a .187 average against him to date, the 21-year-old's ascent up the minor-league ladder appears imminent.
