Young will start in left field and bat eighth in the order Sunday against the Blue Jays, Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
The Red Sox placed Blake Swihart (ankle) on the disabled list Sunday and aren't expected to get Brock Holt (concussion) until next week, so Young could be in line for everyday at-bats in left field over the next several days. Though he's fared much better against left-handed pitching in his career, Young will get the starting nod Sunday over the struggling Rusney Castillo, who was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket, with Blue Jays right-hander Marco Estrada on the mound.
