Orlando was placed on the 7-day disabled list at Triple-A Omaha on Sunday after fouling a ball off his foot in the team's previous game, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.

Orlando was a mainstay in the Royals' lineup last season and opened the 2017 campaign in the big leagues before being optioned to Triple-A Omaha after getting off to a disastrous start at the plate. He's shown improvement in the minors but still holds an uninspiring .254/.314/.381 slash line through his first 70 plate appearances. He'll look to improve upon those numbers once he's able to return to action following his foot injury. No exact timetable has been established for his eventual return.
