Sanchez (6-11) pitched six innings, allowing one run on six hits and three walks while striking out two in the win Tuesday against the White Sox.
After lasting six-plus innings just four times in his first 14 starts of the year, Sanchez has now done it in three straight outings. The veteran's two strikeouts certainly left much to be desired, but his first win since June 30 is worth some appreciation. How long he'll continue to be called upon to make starts for the depleted Tigers rotation remains to be seen, but for now he's scheduled to toe the rubber again on Sunday against the Mets.
