The Marlins recalled catcher Tomas Telis from Triple-A New Orleans and selected the contract of RHP Brian Ellington from New Orleans, the team announced on Monday. 

The players will replace Carter Capps, who went to the DL, and infielder Donovan Solano, who was optioned to Triple-A.

Telis was acquired from Texas in a trade-deadline deal. He played in one game at New Orleans. He's hitting .292 this season at Triple-A. 

Ellington was 4-1 with a 2.51 ERA at Double-A Jacksonville. He had one scoreless relief appearance at Triple-A.

Solano hit .156 in 46 games with the Marlins.
