Buxton is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.
Buxton will head to the bench for the series opener in what looks to be a rest day after he had started in center field or at designated hitter in each of the Twins' last six games. Austin Martin will handle duties in center field Monday, while Carlos Santana gets a day out of the field and serves as Minnesota's DH.
