Avila is out of the lineup Monday against the A's, CSN Chicago's Dan Hayes reports.
It had been reported that Avila would be the starter behind the dish on Opening Day, but for whatever reason, the White Sox went back on that and gave the nod to Dioner Navarro, who will hit eighth. This should be a pretty even timeshare in the early going, with both players having a chance to distinguish themselves with a hot start.
