Sanchez was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
The White Sox needed to make room for pitcher Erik Johnson -- who was recalled to start the second game of Monday's doubleheader -- and Sanchez was the sensible demotion. The switch-hitter has struggled since being called up last month, batting .154 with one RBI in just 19 plate appearances. Sanchez may be recalled after Monday's game, though he certainly hasn't done much to merit it.
