Quintana allowed one run on one hit and one walk while striking out seven over eight innings in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning win over Seattle.

Quintana has never been better this season nor perhaps in his career. This was the first time the left-hander's thrown one-hit ball over eight innings. He was the definition of a stopper, as his outing came at a time when White Sox starters had gone 0-8 with a 6.33 ERA over their last 12 starts. He's allowed three or fewer runs in four of his last five starts, posting a 2.38 ERA and 1.06 WHIP over 34 innings during that span. His next scheduled start is Wednesday in Arizona.
