Saladino, who had batted either leadoff or second this season, was dropped to sixth in the batting order for Friday's game against the Orioles. He went 0-for-3 and saw his average drop to .205.

It looks like manager Rick Renteria couldn't sustain having two struggling hitters -- Saladino and Tim Anderson -- in the upper half of the batting order, so he dropped the less dangerous Saladino. Moving Saladino down the order allows Renteria to move the hot-hitting Avisail Garcia, who batted cleanup for a second straight game Friday, into the upper half of the order. Saladino should remain a regular in the lineup until the White Sox feel Yoan Moncada is ready for the majors.
