Pineda allowed three runs (one earned) on seven hits and a walk while striking out seven over 5.2 innings but had to settle for a no-decision in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Angels.
He turned in a better effort than in his prior start against the Angels last Wednesday, settling down after spotting them a 3-0 lead and giving the Yankees a chance to come back to tie the game in the sixth inning to get Pineda off the hook for the loss. The right-hander will next take the mound Sunday at home against the Rangers.
