A mere 10 days and two appearances after signing a contract with the Yankees, veteran reliever Sergio Santos has been placed on the disabled list with right elbow inflammation, per MLB.com.

Santos pitched just twice since hooking up with the Yankees and allowed two runs on three hits in three innings.
