Rivers will draw the start for Thursday's tilt against the Nuggets, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.

With the Clippers down Blake Griffin (rest) and DeAndre Jordan (rest), coach Doc Rivers will opt to go with a small starting lineup by inserting Rivers at the shooting guard, sliding J.J. Redick and Luc Mbah a Moute up one position each, and starting Marreese Speights at center. In the stretch of 14 games that Chris Paul missed earlier in the year due to thumb injury, Rivers averaged 16.0 points and 4.4 assists across 34.7 minutes per game, and could see a similar workload against the Nuggets.
