Murphy signed a training camp contract with the Magic on Wednesday, Brian K. Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Murphy has familiarity with the organization after playing for the Magic during summer league, averaging 11.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.4 turnovers and 1.2 steals in 26.6 minutes per game over five appearances. The 26-year-old shooting guard last played in the NBA in 2012-13, logging 17 appearances with the Jazz. He's since made stops in the D-League, France, China and Japan, but returning to the NBA has always been a priority. This might mark Murphy's last chance to make it back into the league, and he'll be an underdog to come away with a roster spot even with a strong training camp.
