Seraphin agreed Thursday to a two-year contract with the Pacers, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

As one of the lower-end big men available in free agency, Seraphin had to wait two months to land a deal, but after forgoing lucrative offers from foreign clubs, his patience was finally rewarded. While only the first year of Seraphin's contract is guaranteed, that will likely be enough to lock him into a roster spot for the upcoming campaign. Seraphin was an inconsistent member of the Knicks' rotation last season, appearing in only 48 games and averaging 3.9 points and 2.6 rebounds in 11.0 minutes per game. Since he'll be joining a more talented Pacers squad that boasts an even deeper frontcourt headlined by Myles Turner, Thaddeus Young, Al Jefferson and Lavoy Allen, Seraphin isn't a good bet to see his playing time increase this season.
