The Patriots DST was again a solid unit in 2015 and they should once again be considered a No. 1 option coming into the season in all leagues. Last year, the Patriots had 49 sacks, nine fumble recoveries, 12 interceptions and allowed 315 points to finish as the No. 8 DST in standard leagues. Their sack total was No. 2 in the NFL behind Denver, and the Patriots added some help on defense with Chris Long, Terrance Knighton and Shea McClellin joining the roster. They'll have to help replace Chandler Jones, who was traded to Arizona, but the Patriots defense should again be stout. We consider the Patriots DST to be a Top 10 unit, and they are worth drafting in all leagues with a late-round pick.
