Bethea led the 49ers with 12 tackles (11 solo) in Sunday's loss to Dallas.

With Dez Bryant (knee) sidelined, Bethea was used closer to the line of scrimmage and it resulted in a season-high in tackles. He has turned in alternating strong and weak tackle totals through four games, combining for 28 tackles and an interception, which is strong production from a safety. If Carson Palmer (concussion) does not play this Thursday, then you can expect similar usage from Bethea as the 49ers try to combat David Johnson's heavy usage.
