Thornton announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday.
Thornton's seven-year NFL journey began in Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent. Along the way, Thornton made stops in Dallas, Buffalo and most recently, Tampa Bay. Over his career, Thornton registered 278 tackles and 7.5 sacks.
