In the aftermath of Sunday's loss at St. Louis, Celek entered the protocol for head injuries, whose murky nature clouds his next appearance on the field. Once healthy, he should factor into a tight-end mix that is without Vernon Davis following his trade to Denver. In the meantime, though, the 49ers' healthy options include Vance McDonald and Blake Bell.
