Smith (thigh) was sidelined for Wednesday's practice, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reports.
Smith missed his first game of the season in Sunday's loss to the Ravens. His absence from Wednesday's practice does not indicate him trending in the right direction, however he will need to continue being monitored throughout the week. Clayton Fejedelem would presumably be in line for more work providing safety depth if Smith cannot play gain.
