Kroft will serve as the Bengals' starting tight end Thursday versus the Dolphins, Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Cincinnati will once again be without No. 1 tight end Tyler Eifert (ankle), who logged limited practices all week but will nonetheless wait to make his season debut. Kroft is thus making his third start in a row, but the first two weren't exactly productive. After hauling in three of four passes for 35 yards in Week 2 at Pittsburgh, he emerged from Sunday's loss to the Broncos without a target to his name.
