McDougald totaled 12 tackles (10 solo) in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Bears.

The Bucs' starting free safety managed a season-high total in tackles while turning in his best performance of the season. With backup (and former starter) Major Wright playing reasonably well as of late, McDougald's starting job may have been under evaluation, but Sunday's performance would certainly appear to help preserve the status quo at the position for the season finale versus the Panthers. The third-year pro has set career highs in every major defensive category this season, and will hit the 90-tackle milestone with eight stops against the Panthers in Week 17.
