Nelson reeled in eight of 12 passes for 79 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's loss at Carolina.

After a rookie season in which his 11 receptions went for 27.2 YPC, Nelson would have been a candidate for increased usage this season, if not for the wealth of receivers in Arizona. While Larry Fitzgerald has been his typical standout self in 2016, Michael Floyd and John Brown have fallen well shy of expectations due to a combination of injury and ineffectiveness. Meanwhile, Nelson has slowly but surely worked his way into the rotation, culminating with 11 catches (on 19 targets) for 163 yards and a pair of scores the last two outings. In a post-game media session, head coach Bruce Arians told Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site that Nelson is the team's No. 2 wide receiver at the moment, which should help him sustain relevance until Floyd or Brown returns to form.
