Peterson underwent ankle surgery this week, yet he may still take part in portions of the Cardinals' offseason program, the Arizona Republic reports.
Peterson has tended to ankle injuries the past two seasons, but the respective ailments haven't forced an absence. In fact, he's been an ironman of sorts, playing in all 83 games, including playoffs, over the course of his five-year career. Peterson put together perhaps his best overall season in 2015, during which he posted 35 solo tackles, two interceptions, and one forced fumble.
