The Chiefs have re-signed Spiller, the Kansas City Star reports.
The Chiefs dropped Spiller in advance of Week 1, but that move was made by the team in order to avoid owing the veteran back a guaranteed contract for the 2017 season. He'll now rejoin the backup RB mix alongside Charcandrick West and behind rookie starter Kareem Hunt, who starred in Thursday's season opener.
