King was promoted from the practice squad to the Chiefs' active roster Saturday.
King was waived by the Chiefs in November, but subsequently cleared waivers and landed on the team's practice squad. However, he has been promoted back to the active roster due to veteran linebacker Derrick Johnson being placed on injured reserve.
