Irving received an exclusive rights tender from the Cowboys on Monday, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Irving is locked up with Dallas through the 2017 season after receiving the tender. He had 17 tackles, including four sacks, and five passes defensed in 15 games in 2016. He'll figure to be one of the team's top defensive tackles and could see a slight uptick in playing time.
