Thomas said his back, ankle and finger injuries have all healed, The Palm Beach Post reports. "I can tell you that it's fortunate for me that I don't have any lingering deficiencies from the injuries," Thomas said. "I don't have any handicap injuries that will hold me back. They've all been able to heal up. The fortunate part is it's always something new. It's not chronic."

Injuries played a big role in the disappointment of Thomas' stint in Jacksonville, limiting him to only 21 games in two seasons. Now reunited with Dolphins head coach Adam Gase -- who served as the Broncos' offensive coordinator in 2013 and 2014 -- the 28-year-old tight end won't have to learn a new offensive system as he seeks to regain his peak Denver form. Thomas had 24 touchdowns in 27 games between the 2013 and 2014 seasons, serving as the top red zone target in a high-flying Peyton Manning offense. Scores won't be so easy to come by in Miami, but Thomas should emerge as one of Ryan Tannehill's favorite targets if he can simply manage to stay on the field. There is plenty of competition for targets from a talented wideout group featuring Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills and Leonte Carroo.
