Frankie Hammond: Dropped by Jets

The Jets waived Hammond on Saturday, Ralph Vacchiano of SNY reports.

Hammond was competing among a plethora of wide receivers for a role on the Jets' roster, but ultimately fell short of making it through final cuts. Although he failed to make enough of an impression to make the roster, the 27-year-old could be a decent practice squad candidate should he clear waivers.
