Thompson (foot) will not play in Week 3's matchup with Washington, Tom Rock of Newsday.com reports.
Thompson is considered week-to-week as he continues to nurse a sprained foot. The safety "rolled up" his foot during Sunday's win over the Saints and did not take the practice field on Thursday. The Giants will be extra thin at defensive back now with Nat Berhe and Landon Collins as the only active safeties on the roster.
