Wide receiver Preston Parker was released by the Giants on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of FS1 reports. Parker had trouble hanging onto the football over the season's first two games, so the Giants decided to take him off the roster in order to open up a spot for defensive lineman Kenrick Ellis.
Parker totaled 76 receptions for the Giants over the last two seasons, so he figures to draw interest from teams in need of receiving help.
