Giants' Shane Vereen: Return date still uncertain

Giants coach Ben McAdoo wouldn't confirm whether or not Vereen (triceps) will be activated to New York's 53-man roster this week, ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports.

Vereen was deemed the Giants' designated player to return from injured reserve last Wednesday, which put a 21-day timetable for him to be activated in effect. Although Vereen has been participating in practices since then, it's still unclear when he can be expected to return to game action. Whenever he's made available for the first time since Week 3, Vereen is anticipated to add versatility to New York's backfield options.
