Seferian-Jenkins has been claimed off waivers by the Jets, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Seferian-Jenkins was released by the Buccaneers last week after being arrested and charged with DUI, which followed previous questions regarding his mentality in Tampa Bay. However, with the Jets clearly lacking a tight end, picking up the 2014 second-rounder seemingly helps New York address a position of need. Of course, that's only if the 23-year-old can remain available, as he's played just 18 games since entering the league. In those appearances, Seferian-Jenkins totaled an underwhelming 45 catches (on 81 targets) for 603 yards, but his seven career touchdowns could give quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick a big-bodied target to help him in the red zone.
