While Lions running backs Theo Riddick had a 21-yard touchdown catch in the season opener against the Chargers, his offensive reps were limited.

He didn't enter the game until there were 4 minutes left in the second quarter. He also had no carries and both of his catches came late in the fourth quarter when the game was essentially decided.

Riddick finished with only eight offensive snaps, and as along as Joique Bell and rookie Ameer Abdullah are healthy, his role on offense likely won't change.

"When he gets the ball in his hands, he's pretty dangerous," coach Jim Caldwell said, per MLive.com. "But then the other thing is, we have a number of guys that you're looking at. I think that's the thing that we have to manage."
